PROGRAMME
Agenda – July 12th
Objectives: The conference has two objectives. First, to bring together ministers, internationally recognised experts and opinion leaders to discuss the challenge faced by the World Bank Group in delivering its long-term strategic priorities and how others can support and complement its work. Second, to contribute to dialogue with the Bank on enhancing its effectiveness in a selected number of strategic areas.
Format: The conference will be held as plenary throughout but with a mix of keynote addresses and panel discussions, followed by possible comments and questions from the floor. A number of issue papers have been prepared to provide a backdrop to the discussions. All sessions will operate under Chatham House Rules. The purpose is not to generate a consensus but to provide a range of perspectives for the Bank to reflect on going forward.
