Date and Venue
The conference will take place in the Hilton hotel Amsterdam, the Netherlands on July 12 -13 2008.
All weekend participants are welcome to an informal drink on July 11th from 8 pm onwards in the Hilton hotel.
Accomodation
All weekend participants are invited to stay in the Hitlon hotel in Amsterdam (Apollolaan 138, 1077 BG Amsterdam, 0031 (0)20 7106000). The Royal Netherlands Government will make the necessary reservations and cover the usual expenses for all invited participants for up to two nights (July 11th and July 12th).
A block-booking has been made. However, your reservation may not be guaranteed if we receive your registration form later than 18 June 2008. If you prefer to stay longer than two nights, we could make reservations as implied by your registration form. The expenses for additional accomodation will be for you own account.
Transportation
The Dutch authorities will provide transportation for the weekend participants upon arrival, during the dinner programme, and prior to departure. The hotel is located near the centre of Amsterdam and close to Schipol airport.
Identification requirements
By Dutch law you are required to have proper identification (passport) with you at all times while residing in the Netherlands. For entry into official buildings you generally need to show your identification.
Security
A risk analysis will be done and according to this, maxium security provision will be provided by the Dutch authorities. If participants wish to travel with their own security officers, they are requested to registers them via the separate registration form for accompanied members as well.
Official language
English will be the official language of the meeting.
Office Facilities
All necessary (general) audio and visual equipment will be available for participant. If you have any special requirement, please let us know (infoworldbankconference@congrex.nl). The Hilton hotel has a business centre equipped with photocopiers, fax machine, telephone, computers, printers and internet access, which will be available on participants expense. Next to that wireless internet is available in each hotelroom at own expense.
Press
On the first day, July 12th, there will no external press. On the second day, July 13th, the press will be select and need to be accredited.
Means of payment
The official currency of the Netherlands is the EURO. Foreign currencies can be exchanged in commercial banks and exchange bureaus. All major credit cards and traveller’s cheques are accepted.
